Withdrawals
My TV died on me two weeks ago and I just haven't been able to get myself to part with several hundred dollars for a new one.
I would rather fork over that kind of cash on a Garmin Forerunner 305 and some new running shoes and some aero bars and some real fancy bike shorts and some new tri shoes and a cool tri suit and a swiMp3 and an iPod and ... (you get the picture). And you know what - I would still probably have some money left over for some other little treats.
But no - I want a TV. I am starting to go through withdrawals. My magazines are all getting read. My stack of unread books is getting shorter (that is another thing I could use that left over money for - to restock that stack).
But the new season is about to start and I might go nuts if I can't watch CSI (Las Vegas - of course) and Grey's Anatomy.
What to do, what to do?!

You poor thing! Makes me glad I never got hooked in the first place.
Any chance you can schedule gym workouts when your favorite shows are on? I see people do that sometimes.
Drive over to Goodwill or some thrift shop and buy a cheap TV and still have left over cash for dog treats! :O) Carl Dog
I am glad I am not you. We just got an HD receiver for our TV. Just in time for Football Season. Amazing, just amazing. We're getting a new TV next month. I don't know if you can wait that long, but we'll sell you our 30-something inch on the cheap!
Gym workout geared around television shows? Might work for a couple, we'll have to see.
Mr. Jamoosh - I am thinking about it! Will let you know.
Skip the tv!!! Get the other goodies. We've been without TV in our common living space since March. It's been great. Our family actually talks to each other now.
